This Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Adventure Intervention at Université du Québec à Chicoutimi prepares students to plan, lead, and supervise outdoor activities safely across areas including adventure tourism and ecotourism, expedition leadership, logistics in isolated regions, outdoor project management, nature-based therapeutic intervention, and risk management. Admission Requirements: Regular entry is open to holders of a Quebec DEC. Etudes-hors-Quebec applicants need a diploma obtained outside Quebec after at least 13 years of schooling with a minimum average of 11/20; etudes-universitaires applicants need 15 completed university credits with a 2.3/4.3 cumulative average; a preparation-suffisante route accepts collegial-level attestations or certifications plus at least six months (840 hours) of significant experience directly related to the outdoor sector. Non-francophone applicants must provide proof of French mastery by passing a French test recognised by UQAC (TFI, TCF or TEF at B2/NCLC 8, or the DELF-B2 diploma) within 24 months before admission. All candidates must attend a mandatory two-day selection activity at Simoncouche Forest. The programme is contingent, capped at 24 admitted students, with an application deadline of March 1st, and admits only in the fall term.
