Overview

This Master's in Project Management at Universite du Quebec a Rimouski is a 45-credit program offered mainly through evening courses on-campus at the Rimouski and Levis campuses, with some courses available at a distance in a hybrid, partly asynchronous and partly synchronous format, and admission each fall and winter. The program trains professionals to manage projects across sectors, regardless of their nature, scale, or field of application, from conception through completion, organized around three themes: fundamental project-management knowledge, complex project and program management, and project-portfolio management; it draws extensively on the PMBOK framework and prepares graduates for PMP certification. Professional, research (thesis), and cooperative (with internships) pathways are available. Admission requires a bachelor's degree with a cumulative average of at least 3.2 on 4.3, plus at least one year of recent practical experience in a project environment; applicants with an average between 2.8 and 3.2 face discretionary review. Applicants without a bachelor's degree may qualify under an experience base with seven or more years of project-management experience or ten or more years of management experience with relevant professional accreditation. All candidates must demonstrate French language competency or pass an institutional French exam.
