This Master's in Project Management (Thesis Profile) at Universite du Quebec a Rimouski is a 45-credit program offered mainly through evening courses on-campus at the Rimouski and Levis campuses, with some courses available at a distance in a hybrid, partly asynchronous and partly synchronous format, and admission each fall and winter. The research pathway trains managers, consultants, or scientists competent to carry out rigorous analysis of complex project-management problems and develop solutions specific to their field of application, within a curriculum organized around three themes: fundamental project-management knowledge, complex project and program management, and project-portfolio management, culminating in a thesis. Admission requires a bachelor's degree with a cumulative average of at least 3.2 on 4.3; applicants with an average between 2.8 and 3.2 have their file reviewed by the program director and may face additional coursework. Applicants without a bachelor's degree may qualify under an experience base with professional accreditation, required training, or at least seven years of project-management experience, or at least ten years of management experience. All candidates must demonstrate French language competency or pass an institutional French exam.
