This graduate diploma (DESS) prepares healthcare practitioners and managers to take on management responsibilities within health services organizations. The 30-credit programme, offered by Universite Laval's Faculty of Business Administration, covers human resources, materials and financial management applied to healthcare settings, along with practical tools and decision-making frameworks for addressing accessibility, cost control and service quality in health systems. Up to 15 credits of prior learning can be recognized toward the diploma, and study can be completed full-time or part-time. Courses are delivered in a hybrid format combining classroom instruction with online access, and some courses are offered entirely at a distance. The programme is aimed at practitioners already working in healthcare who need formal management training to move into administrative or supervisory roles within hospitals, clinics or health authorities.
