Actuarial Science (Thesis) (Master's)

Universite Laval's thesis-based Master's in Actuarial Science leads to a Maitrise es sciences (M.Sc.) over 45 credits, with an estimated full-time duration of two years. The university describes it as the only program of its kind offered in French in North America. It develops students' research skills through completion of a thesis while building expertise in actuarial specializations such as risk theory, pension plans and financial risk. Admission requires a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, or an equivalent diploma; alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a related discipline combined with adequate training in mathematics and statistics is accepted.
