Admission Requirements: Advanced entry via the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry; this program does not admit directly from high school. Applicants complete at least one year of transferable postsecondary pre-professional coursework (minimum 30 units): English (6 units), General Chemistry (6), Organic Chemistry (3), Cell Biology (3), Molecular Genetics and Inheritance (3), a Science or Math elective (3), Statistics (3) and Faculty options (3). A minimum GPA of 2.7 in the pre-professional coursework is required. Selection also weighs a required Letter of Intent and personal interview, with academic achievement in required courses and recent performance prioritized. Recommended (not required, since direct entry from high school is not offered) background: English Language Arts 30-1, Biology 30, Chemistry 30, Mathematics 30-1. Spoken English proficiency is required. Application deadline is March 1.
