This thesis-based Master of Science in Immunology provides research training in immunology through the Immunology Research Group, whose core themes are the development and physiology of immune system cells and immunological mechanisms in disease and inflammation. Students undertake original research leading to a thesis defended before a committee. Graduates pursue careers in pharmaceutical research, academia, government, and clinical roles. The program is full-time, normally completed in two years, with a maximum of four years permitted. Admission is offered in May, September, and January, with separate deadlines for Canadian/permanent resident and international applicants. Applicants require an undergraduate course in immunology, a minimum GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale over the final two years of full-time study, a curriculum vitae, confirmation of funding from a proposed supervisor, and two reference letters. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the Faculty's English language proficiency requirement.
