The Master of Health Science (MHSc) in Physiology is a 12-month professional graduate program in the Department of Physiology at the University of Toronto, designed to train students to interpret clinical and research data. Delivered in person over three full-time sessions (Fall-Winter-Spring), the curriculum combines advanced physiology courses with mentored literature review, health-data-analysis training, instruction in commercialization, and a practicum placement in an industry or hospital setting. Admission requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum A- average in the final two years of study and completion of a third-year physiology course or equivalent, together with a one-page statement of professional goals, a curriculum vitae and two reference letters; shortlisted applicants are interviewed before an offer is made. Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency, for example through the TOEFL iBT, with a minimum overall score of 5.0 out of 6.0, including at least 4.5 in writing and 4.0 in speaking. The credential awarded is a Master of Health Science (MHSc).
