Overview
This course-based Master of Strategic Studies program combines a military-oriented liberal arts core with opportunities to study more technical subject matter. The curriculum includes core courses in strategy and international relations, a block-week methods course, and electives covering topics such as arctic security and intelligence. Students may also complete an optional eight-month cooperative education placement. Full-time completion normally takes one year, with a maximum of six years permitted. Admission requires a four-year baccalaureate degree, or equivalent, from a recognized institution, a minimum GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale, a writing sample, and two reference letters.
