The Radiation Oncology Physics Certificate is an eight-month, post-doctoral program that provides the didactic background and clinical training PhD physicists need to become eligible for admission to a residency in clinical radiation oncology physics. Delivered in-person through classroom instruction combined with clinical rounds at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, the program bridges physics doctoral training and clinical medical physics practice. It is intended for physicists who hold a PhD and are preparing to enter clinical radiation oncology physics residency training. Admission takes place once a year, in September, with the same application deadline for both Canadian/permanent-resident and international applicants. The certificate offers a focused clinical-training bridge rather than a full graduate degree, positioning graduates for entry into accredited residency programs in the field.
