Overview

The Master of Digital Marketing at the University of Fredericton is a fully online graduate program, described as the only program of its kind in Canada, completed in one to two years depending on pace, with a full-time option finishing in one year and an expected workload of 15 to 20 hours per week per course. The program consists of ten courses: five core courses covering AI-driven marketing, advanced analytics, digital strategy, SEO, and performance marketing; two electives; and a two-part Major Research Project. Additional coursework addresses data-driven decision making, ethical marketing practice, customer relationship management, brand management, and social media strategy. Core courses run in eight-week blocks, with no live classes required. The program suits students aiming for roles such as digital marketer, marketing manager, growth marketer, social media strategist, content marketer, or digital analytics specialist.

Requirements

Admission Requirements: The Master of Digital Marketing page requires an undergraduate degree in a related field, such as business, finance, marketing, or management, from a recognized institution. Applicants without a traditional marketing or business background can still be considered: the university states it looks for demonstrated interest and clear potential for success, and admits such applicants conditionally alongside a complimentary Foundations of Marketing module. The program page does not itself publish an English-language score, so the university's general Admission Requirements page applies to applicants from non-English-speaking countries: a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 88 (or TOEFL CBT 213), IELTS 6.5 with no band below 6, Duolingo English Test 115, or CAEL 70 with no part below 60, with the exemptions set out on that page. Applicants should apply at least four weeks before their chosen start date; no interview, portfolio, or work-experience minimum is stated.
