The Master of Music (MMus) with Concentration in Performance is offered by the School of Music, with performance studies available in piano, collaborative piano, voice, orchestral instruments, guitar and conducting. The compulsory curriculum includes Introduction to Musical Research and four Applied Music courses, together with an optional course chosen from proseminars in music theory, analysis, musicology or pedagogy, and twelve elective units in graduate-level music, culminating in two public recitals and a recital defence. An Intensive Profile is also available, replacing part of the coursework and the second recital with a six-unit Major Creative Project. The program participates in collaborative specializations in Feminist and Gender Studies and in Medieval and Renaissance Studies through the MA in Music. The summer term of the first year is treated as a scheduled break, with full-time studies resuming in September.
