Admission Requirements: High-school applicants need at least 65% in each of Grade 12 English, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology plus one other Grade 12 academic course, with an overall average of at least 70% across these courses; university applicants meet the same subjects at degree level with a minimum mark of 60% each, and mature applicants need either the same Grade 12 minimums or 60% in three-semester-hour university equivalents. All applicants must sit the Casper online situational-judgment test (Canadian Casper 1, CSP-10200, 65–85 minutes), which counts for 30% of the overall admission score; eligible candidates are then ranked on their average in Biology, Chemistry, English and Mathematics for roughly 70 seats a year, with priority given to PEI residents. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet UPEI's higher English Language Proficiency minimums for Nursing: IELTS Academic 7.0 overall with 7.0 in writing and speaking and 6.5 in reading and listening, TOEFL PBT 600 with a TWE of 6, CAEL 70, Pearson Test of English 66, Cambridge 185 overall, or Oxford ELLT 7 overall; TOEFL Essentials is not accepted for this programme.

Application Deadline:UPEI has no shared provincial application service; domestic and international applicants both apply directly through the UPEI Application Portal, and most undergraduate programs (Arts, Science, Business) carry no fixed institution-wide closing date, with applications for the 2027 entry cycle assessed on a rolling basis until seats fill. Several professional programs set their own hard dates instead: for example the Bachelor of Education uses an October 15, 2026 priority-review deadline with rolling admission after.
