Overview
This is an accelerated, second-entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing offered by the Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto, aimed at students who already hold prior university education and life experience. The 20-month, full-time program has no elective courses and is organized around five themes: safe and ethical practice, scholarship and critical inquiry, interprofessional collaboration, relationship-centred care, and health promotion. Required coursework covers pathophysiology, pharmacotherapeutics, research methods, gerontological and pediatric nursing, community health, and healthcare policy, ethics, and leadership. Admission Requirements: The BScN at U of T's Lawrence Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing is a second-entry program: applicants need at least two years of university study (10.0 U of T-equivalent credits) with a B average (about 75%, or 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) over the most recent 5.0 credits, and prerequisite courses completed at a minimum of 60% or C, comprising 1.0 credit in Human Physiology (or 0.5 Physiology + 0.5 Anatomy), 0.5 credit in Microbiology, 0.5 credit in Statistics, 1.0 credit in Life or Physical Sciences, and 1.0 credit in Social Sciences (or 0.5 Social Sciences + 0.5 Humanities, from the September 2026 intake). All applicants complete a supplementary application: a 500-word personal statement, a 400-word description of leadership/community involvement, and a 400-word self-reflection on managing program demands. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the University's proficiency requirement (IELTS Academic 6.5 with no band below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 89 overall with 22 in Speaking and Writing before 21 January 2026).

Application Deadline:University of Toronto uses one application deadline for domestic and international applicants alike for Fall 2027 entry: 15 January 2027 for most programmes, including Applied Science & Engineering, Arts & Science (St. George), the iSchool, Kinesiology & Physical Education, Nursing, Physician Assistant, and UTM and UTSC, with supporting documents also due 15 January 2027 (Engineering) or 1 February 2027 (most others). Medical Radiation Sciences has an extended 1 February 2027 deadline. A recommended early-application date of 7 November 2026 applies across the board, and several programmes (Rotman Commerce, Computer Science, Architecture, Kinesiology) require a supplementary component due 1 February 2027. Admission decisions are released from January through late May; UofT does not describe any programme as rolling. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
