Overview

French and Francophone Intercultural Studies is a Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Regina, offered through La Cite universitaire francophone, that focuses on the study of the French language and Francophone cultures around the world. The four-year program has been redesigned to incorporate new teaching methods and leads to a degree with bilingual mention, in which 40 to 60 percent of courses are taught in French. Students have access to a free tutoring service and work-readiness supports through the Student Services Centre, can apply for scholarships offered solely to students in a French-language program, and may complete part of their studies through cooperative education. La Cite universitaire francophone serves as the University of Regina's hub for French-language post-secondary education in Saskatchewan.
