Overview
This Bachelor's program in History is offered through the Faculty of Arts, with standard and Honours Bachelor of Arts options each running four years, and is also available through Campion College, First Nations University of Canada, and Luther College. Coursework examines nations, peoples, and cultures of the past from political, economic, social, cultural, and gender perspectives, with sample courses spanning world history, Canadian history from Confederation to the First World War, revolutionary China and Japan, and gender and the body in early modern Europe. The program suits students drawn to understanding how earlier generations approached major issues of their time, and who want a broad liberal arts foundation rather than a vocational credential. Described career paths for graduates span teaching, law, government and the non-profit sector, cultural institutions, banking, and foreign service, with the degree presented as a general-purpose base for further study or a range of professional routes rather than a single career track.

Admission Requirements: The history page only references meeting the Faculty of Arts admission requirements and links to the general application guide; the specifics below are that guide's Saskatchewan high-school pathway. Final admission needs Saskatchewan Secondary standing with English Language Arts A30, two further approved 30-level math, science, language or social-science courses, and one additional approved 30-level course, to a 70% average; applicants averaging 60-69.99% are admitted to the Arts Qualifying Year. Grade 12 students can be admitted early-conditionally on a 70% average across four approved 20/30-level courses. International applicants must also meet English proficiency: IELTS Academic 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0), TOEFL iBT 83 (4.5 overall from 21 January 2026), PTE Academic 59, CAEL 60, or Duolingo 120.

Application Deadline:Domestic applicants to the University of Regina apply for Fall 2027 entry with a recommended early deadline of 15 March 2027 for best course selection and a final new-applicant deadline of 15 August 2027; Winter 2027-28 entry has an early deadline of 1 November 2026 and a final deadline of 15 December 2026, and Spring/Summer 2027 entry closes 15 April 2027. International (study-permit) applicants share the same final deadlines as domestic students for each term but have no separate early deadline. Numerous named programs, including Nursing, Social Work, Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, Indigenous Fine Arts and Indigenous Education, carry their own earlier deadlines instead of the general dates. Admission is not described as rolling; late non-competitive applications are simply carried to the next term the program accepts. These are institution-wide dates; this programme publishes no deadline of its own.
