Human Resources is a major within the Bachelor of Commerce degree offered by the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan's Saskatoon campus, comprising 120 credit units over four years, with degree requirements to be completed within ten years of initial admission. The first two years cover foundational business courses in organizational behaviour, business communications, and decision-making shared across Edwards School majors. Students apply to specialize in Human Resources ahead of their third year, when entry to the major is based on academic performance. The major itself requires 24 credit units of specialized coursework, including required courses in organizational behaviour, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and labour law, plus 18 credit units of free senior electives. The fourth year includes a capstone course and further HR-focused electives. The program suits students interested in organizational management, employee development, and workplace relations who want a business degree with a human resources specialization. It prepares graduates for careers in human resources functions such as recruitment, compensation, labour relations, and organizational development within businesses and other employers.
