Overview
This Bachelor of Business Administration (B.A.A.) in Human Resources Management is recognized by Quebec's Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, giving graduates a pathway to the CRHA professional designation. The 90-credit programme, completed over three years of full-time study, combines 12 management foundation courses with 16 or 17 specialized human resources courses and complementary coursework in accounting, finance, operations management, marketing, and information technology. It takes a systemic approach to organizational development and HR interventions, using case analyses, debates, oral presentations, simulations, and practical work. Some courses are taught in English, and distance and hybrid course options are available. It is offered by Université Laval's Faculty of Business Administration with admission sessions in fall, winter, and summer. The Faculty of Business Administration also offers optional specialization profiles similar to Université Laval's other B.A.A. concentrations, and an integrated pathway into graduate studies is available for qualifying students.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Quebec DEC holders need a DEC in sciences, arts and letters; natural sciences; or computer science and mathematics (or an equivalent International Baccalaureate stream with intermediate-level mathematics) and a minimum cote de rendement au collégial of 25; applicants with a lower cote R may take up to one session of compensatory mathematics courses. Applicants from outside Quebec need a secondary school diploma plus one year of university study with a satisfactory mathematics background. International applicants need 13 years of pre-university education or 12 years plus one year of post-secondary study, including a French baccalauréat or Belgian upper secondary certificate route, with satisfactory mathematics competency.
