Hydrology is a four-year Bachelor of Science program, offered through the Department of Geography and Planning, built on a foundation of biology, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, and statistics at the 100- and 200-level. The curriculum develops quantitative skills in field and laboratory methods, computing and data visualization, and multivariate and spatial statistics, alongside social-science perspectives on water security, and is designed to meet the coursework requirements for professional accreditation as a Geoscientist-in-Training with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. Students declaring the major are advised to complete a specified set of foundation courses within their first 60 credit units. An Honours option and a five-year Co-operative Education option, adding up to five four-month paid work terms, are also available. Students can enter directly from high school, study full-time or part-time, begin the program off-campus, and start in the Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer term.
