The Master of Science (M.Sc.), thesis-based, in Health Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan is a research program for students working within the clinical departments of the College of Medicine or the School of Physical Therapy. Research addresses translational and clinical aspects of human disease, health, and healthy living, including biomedical research with clinical applications, with specific topics shaped by the interests and expertise of the student and their supervisor. Students complete a minimum of nine credit units of coursework chosen in consultation with their advisory committee, alongside an original research thesis and thesis defence; students without prior biostatistics training are strongly encouraged to take a biostatistics course. The program prepares graduates for research and clinical-research careers spanning biomedical and health sciences.
