The Master of Physical Therapy (M.P.T.) at the University of Saskatchewan is a course-based graduate program offered through the School of Rehabilitation Science and completed in person, with residency expected for the program's duration. Coursework prepares students for professional practice as physiotherapists, though completing the program does not itself grant the right to practise; graduates must obtain a license from the relevant provincial regulatory body and pass the national examination administered by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. Admission requires a four-year baccalaureate degree in any discipline, a minimum 75 percent average over the most recent 60 credit units, and prerequisite coursework in human anatomy, human physiology, psychology, statistics, a social sciences or humanities course, and an Indigenous studies course, each with a minimum grade of 70 percent and a combined prerequisite average of 75 percent. Applicants must also complete the CASPer situational judgment test and submit a personal statement. The program includes designated admission seats for Indigenous and Saskatchewan-resident applicants under defined residency requirements.
