Overview
The Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.), Thesis-based, at the University of Saskatchewan is offered through the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy and prepares graduates to conduct policy research and analysis for use within the policy system. Students develop skills for work as policy researchers in the public, not-for-profit, and corporate sectors, both locally and internationally, applying strategies to address policy challenges. Admission requires a four-year degree, or equivalent, from a recognized college or university in an academic discipline relevant to the proposed field of study, together with a cumulative weighted average of at least 75 percent over the most recent two years of study. Applicants whose first language is not English must meet a minimum overall TOEFL score of 4.5 on the institution's scale, with at least 4.0 in each area, or a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with at least 6.0 in each area. Applications require a current resume, a letter of intent, and three letters of reference.
