The Small Animal Rotating Veterinary Internship Certificate is a one-year, post-D.V.M. graduate certificate at the University of Saskatchewan's Western College of Veterinary Medicine. It provides newly graduated veterinarians with focused clinical experience across rotations under faculty specialists in the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary Medical Centre, requiring a minimum of 9 credit units of graduate coursework. Applicants must first be accepted into the corresponding small-animal rotating internship before they are eligible for admission to the certificate program. Admission requires a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent from a recognized institution, a cumulative weighted average of at least 70% in the last two years of study, and eligibility for restricted, educational licensure with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association to practise veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan.
