The Master of Nursing (MN) at the University of Toronto's Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing prepares registered nurses for advanced practice through one of three fields: Clinical Nursing, Health Systems Leadership and Administration, or Nurse Practitioner. The program develops specialized knowledge and applied skills to lead systems-level innovation, translate research into practice, and influence nursing practice in a chosen area. It runs six sessions full-time, with a three-year time limit. The Clinical Nursing field is delivered in person, while Health Systems Leadership and Administration and Nurse Practitioner combine online coursework with required on-campus sessions. Admission requires a BScN degree (or equivalent BN, BSN, or BNSc), current registration or eligibility for registration as a nurse, and an academic standing of at least mid-B in the final year and at least a B in the next-to-final year. The Health Systems Leadership and Nurse Practitioner fields additionally require a minimum of 3,900 hours of registered nurse experience.

Admission Requirements: A BScN degree (a BN, BSN, or BNSc is considered equivalent), current registration or eligibility for registration as a nurse, at least a mid-B (75%, or a 3.0 grade point average) standing in the final year and at least a B standing in the next-to-final year, a current curriculum vitae, transcripts, two reference letters, and a letter of intent. The Health Systems Leadership and Administration and Nurse Practitioner fields additionally require a minimum of 3,900 hours of Registered Nurse experience.
