Planetary Science is an Honours Bachelor of Science Specialist program in the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto's St. George campus, covering the chemical, geological, and physical processes that define planetary environments. It is an open-enrolment program: a student may enrol once they have completed 4.0 credits. The Specialist requires 14.0 credits, including at least 2.0 credits at the 300-level or above and at least 1.0 credit at the 400-level, made up of foundation courses in physics (PHY131H1/PHY132H1 or PHY151H1/PHY152H1), mathematics (calculus and linear algebra), and one elective from chemistry, computer science, earth sciences, or statistics; core upper-level courses in astronomy (AST221H1, AST222H1, AST310H1, AST320H1, AST325H1, AST425Y1), earth sciences (ESS261H1, ESS262H1), physics (PHY252H1, PHY254H1), and chemistry; and specialized electives in physics, earth sciences, chemistry, and applied mathematics, plus one course addressing social and ethical responsibility. Admission from Ontario secondary school requires an OSSD with six Grade 12 4U/M courses, including English, Calculus & Vectors, Chemistry, and Physics.

Admission Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with six Grade 12 U/M-level courses, including English (ENG4U/EAE4U), Calculus & Vectors (MCV4U), Chemistry (SCH4U), and Physics (SPH4U); the co-op component of Grade 12 courses is not used for admission purposes. Program enrolment: open-enrolment Specialist; a student who has completed 4.0 credits may enrol in the program.
