Electrical and Computer Engineering (MEng)

The Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering is a course-based graduate program offered by the Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. It is designed for students seeking training and expertise for careers in the information economy rather than a thesis-based research degree. Students choose from a wide range of graduate courses and laboratory sessions taught by departmental faculty and industry practitioners; supervised research projects are available to some students as part of their coursework. Admission requires an appropriate bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering or an equivalent field from a recognized university, with academic standing equivalent to a mid-B average or better in the final year or over senior-level courses. The standard full-time option is completed in 12 months (three sessions), with extended full-time (16 to 24 months) and part-time (up to three years) options also available. The program is delivered in person at the St. George campus.
