Overview
The Master of Science (MSc) in Kinesiology is a thesis-based, research-stream graduate program offered by the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education at the University of Toronto. It prepares students for research and academic careers in areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and sport and exercise psychology. Applicants identify and secure a faculty supervisor as part of the admission process. The program requires 2.0 full-course equivalents of graduate coursework together with a thesis, including a proposal defense and a final oral defense. Full-time students typically complete the program in six sessions (two years), following a Fall-Winter-Summer registration sequence; a part-time option over twelve sessions is also available.
