The Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MScOT) at the University of Toronto's Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy prepares students with advanced academic and professional knowledge and applied research skills for occupational therapy practice and leadership. The standard entry route is a 24-month full-time program delivered in person over six consecutive sessions, beginning in September; a separate advanced-standing option for applicants who already hold a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy runs three consecutive sessions in a hybrid format. Admission to the standard route requires an appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university with a mid-B average or better in the final year of study, and applicants complete the CASPER situational-judgment test. Applicants whose prior instruction was not in English must meet the program's English-language proficiency requirement. Admission is restricted to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada, with limited exceptions.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: An appropriate bachelor's degree from a recognized university with high academic standing and a mid-B average or better in the final year of study (5 full-course equivalents). Applicants complete the CASPER Test. Applicants from a university where the language of instruction and/or examination was not English must submit an English-language proficiency test (TOEFL or IELTS).
