Occupational Therapy (M.Sc.A.OT.) - Non-Thesis

The Master of Science, Applied (M.Sc.A.OT.) in Occupational Therapy is a non-thesis, course-based program offered by the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy in McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Students enter either after completing a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science (Occupational Therapy) at McGill, or through a Qualifying Year for applicants with an undergraduate degree in another discipline. The program runs 1.5 years, or five semesters, and includes a clinical practicum of 1,000 hours leading to professional licensure. Coursework covers client-centered and evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, ethics, and professionalism, and the final semester includes a Master's project developing research and scholarly skills. The program develops critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Admission requires an eligible bachelor's degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, plus English-language proficiency. The program admits students in the Summer term.
