Overview
The Rotman One-Year MBA is an accelerated advanced-standing program for candidates who already hold an undergraduate business degree (BBA, BCom or equivalent) or a Master of Management, and who have professional experience in business and management. Because incoming students have already covered core business coursework, the program reduces the core curriculum and moves directly into an extensive set of electives – more than 100 are offered – allowing students to pursue up to two areas of specialization alongside experiential learning opportunities. The program runs 12 months of full-time academic study, beginning in May. Admission requires an undergraduate degree in commerce, management or business (with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the final year) or a Master of Management with a minimum 3.0 CGPA from an AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited institution, together with demonstrated prior coursework in economics, finance, accounting, marketing, operations and statistics. A GMAT or GRE score, full-time work experience and two professional references are also required. The credential awarded is a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Admission Requirements: Admission is open to applicants who already hold an undergraduate degree in commerce, management or business, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in the final year, or a Master of Management with a minimum 3.0 CGPA, from an AACSB- or EQUIS-accredited institution. Applicants must demonstrate prior coursework in economics, finance, accounting, marketing, operations and statistics, and must submit a GMAT or GRE score along with two professional references; a minimum of three and maximum of nine years of full-time work experience is expected. Alternatively, applicants may qualify with a GMAT, GRE, CFA Level II pass, UFE/CFE pass, P.Eng, ACIA or FCIA designation, or graduation with high distinction (minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA) from the University of Toronto. Applicants whose first language is not English must submit an accepted English proficiency test score if required.
