Overview

The Accelerated MBA for Business Graduates (AMBA) is a 12-month, part-time MBA offered by Smith School of Business at Queen's University for professionals who already hold an undergraduate business degree. The program begins each January and uses a team-based learning model, with cohorts of 6 to 8 students formed at the outset and maintained throughout. Depending on location, participants attend live, interactive classes either in a Boardroom Learning Centre in one of several major Canadian cities (Ottawa, Toronto, Mississauga, Calgary, Vancouver) or as part of a virtual team from home or office, supplemented by in-person sessions at Queen's campus in Kingston in January, June, and December. Coursework includes a certificate option in social impact, executive and career coaching, and access to the SmithEdge leadership-development suite. The program is designed to let participants continue working full-time while completing their MBA.
