Organizational Preparedness and Adaptability Micro-certificate is a micro-credential in Risk Management programme taught at University of Victoria in Victoria, Canada. The programme runs for 6 weeks, delivered on campus. Teaching is in English. Tuition is CAD 600 per total for local students.
The micro-certificate develops capability across risk management, emergency preparedness and planning for business continuity, aimed at helping organisations respond more proactively when a crisis occurs and continue on a steady path afterward. It is designed for non-specialists drawn from private, public and non-profit organisations, new to business continuity and emergency planning, who want to cover the fundamentals before moving into a more in-depth program.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: The Organizational Preparedness and Adaptability Micro-certificate recommends, without requiring, current or prior experience in a work environment, and expects participants to be able to complete assignments and contribute to discussions by drawing on that workplace experience. The program page states that participants need regular access to a computer with a reliable internet connection to take part in the online course. UVic's Division of Continuing Studies sets no minimum education level, no English-language-proficiency test or score, no portfolio, and no interview requirement for this micro-certificate. The page states explicitly that no application is necessary: learners simply register directly for the course that makes up the certificate, with no competitive admission process.
