This Master of Science is a research-based, thesis-focused degree in the School of Public Health Sciences addressing population and public health challenges from an interdisciplinary perspective. Students choose a research concentration from seven areas: aging and health, epidemiology and biostatistics, global health, health and environment, health evaluation, health informatics, and work and health. Coursework is combined with an independent, supervised research project. The programme integrates perspectives from multiple disciplines and trains students to use research as a tool to design, implement, and evaluate health programs, policies, and services. Full-time students are supported with funding in their first year. The degree runs full-time over 24 months, delivered on-campus, with a single Fall (September) intake. Graduates pursue careers in research across industry, government, and academia, as well as roles in health promotion, health planning, policy, health informatics and analytics, program evaluation, and epidemiology.
