This Master of Science is a thesis-based, collaborative degree in the School of Public Health Sciences focused on the intersection of public health and water-related challenges. Students draw on access to more than 140 faculty members engaged in water research across the university, integrating perspectives from multiple disciplines. Instruction combines in-class lectures, fieldwork, interdisciplinary group work, and individual research seminars with two specialized interdisciplinary courses. A featured research area examines statistical modelling challenges in health data, including how small sample sizes and missing data affect model reliability. Students develop problem-solving skills and the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams. The degree runs full-time over 24 months, delivered on-campus, with a single Fall (September) intake. Graduates pursue research careers in government, academia, and industry, applying public health science methods to water and environmental health problems.
