Overview
This Master of Public Health is a professional, course-based degree delivered predominantly online through the School of Public Health Sciences. The curriculum covers evidence-informed public health practice, socio-behavioural health, environmental health, and public health informatics, building competencies in community health assessment, disease prevention, and health promotion. Coursework is combined with a 420-hour professional practicum that gives students hands-on experience in a public health setting. The programme includes two short on-campus residencies, one at the start and one at the end of the degree, with the remainder of instruction delivered online. Full-time study is completed over 24 months, with part-time study taking two to four years; the programme admits once a year in September. It is designed for students moving into management and leadership roles in public health agencies, government, or community organizations, combining academic training in public health theory with applied practical experience gained through the practicum placement.
