Dramatic Art is a four-year Honours Bachelor of Arts program at the University of Windsor that trains students for a versatile career in theatre. Students choose a concentration in performance, history and theory, or design and technical theatre, or combine elements of each, building both practical craft skills and critical understanding of theatre as an art form. The program is hands-on, with studio-based training in acting, production and theatrical design delivered alongside academic coursework in theatre history and theory. An optional co-operative education stream allows students to gain paid, degree-related work experience in professional theatre and related settings. Students benefit from close mentorship from faculty active in theatre practice and scholarship. Graduates leave prepared for careers in performance, theatre production, design and technical theatre, arts administration, or further study in dramatic art and related fields.
