The Master of Arts in Criminology at the University of Windsor prepares students for research and leadership roles in academia and related industries by developing research tools, a criminological knowledge base, and critical thinking skills. Two streams are offered: a course-based option and a thesis stream, in which students complete an MA thesis project that reviews, reports on, and disseminates research relevant to policy stakeholders. Applicants choose their intended stream at the time of application using a program stream option form. The program is delivered by the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology and draws on faculty research across criminal justice, policy, and social science methods. Admission is for the Fall term. Graduates pursue careers in criminal justice policy, research, and related fields, or continue to doctoral study.
