Criminology at the University of Windsor is a four-year Honours Bachelor's program examining criminal activity, legal issues, policing, regulation, the criminal justice system, surveillance and security. The program is taught in small class sizes and covers theoretical and applied perspectives on crime, law and justice institutions. Students can pursue the subject as a Combined Honours degree alongside a second area of study. A key feature of the program is experiential learning through practicums with government departments and community agencies, giving students direct exposure to criminal-justice and related professional settings. Faculty in the program are active in criminal-justice policy work, research and advocacy, and bring this engagement into their teaching. The program provides a foundation for further study or careers in law, policing, corrections, social services, government and criminal-justice-related research.
