Overview
The Esthetics and Spa Therapy certificate allows you to get expert industry training in facial treatments, manicure, pedicure, gel application, hair removal, makeup, and body massage while serving real clients at VCC’s state-of-the-art salon and spa. Work practicum offers spa industry work experience, opportunities to practice knowledge and skills learned at the college, and potential for employment.

Requirements
Admission Requirements: This certificate requires English 10, or equivalent; applicants without this may still be admitted after an interview with the department leader or a representative. The page names no standardized English-test score (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or similar). Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, at least 16 years old or a secondary-school graduate, and submit official transcripts and any other required documents; a complete application also includes any required supporting documents and the deposit or fee payment, and eligible, complete applications are offered seats in the order they are finished. The programme involves close client contact, fine motor skills, sustained standing, and exposure to chemicals and fragrances. Applicants missing the English 10 prerequisite can use VCC's tuition-free academic upgrading or ESL courses.
