Environmental Technician Certificate

Admission Requirements: VIU's Environmental Technician Certificate Program (ETCP) has no formal academic entry prerequisites and does not publish an IELTS, TOEFL or other English-language test score. The one entry condition tied to coursework is that an appropriate one-day first-aid course with a CPR component is a co-requisite of the program's Fish and Fish Habitat Monitoring Skills module. Once enrolled, students must maintain 90% attendance across the program and demonstrate practical field skills to pass; the page does not describe these as admission gates but as standards for completing the certificate. No interview, portfolio, age floor or criminal-record-check condition is stated on the page; applicants with questions are directed to the Natural Resource Extension Program at [email protected].
