Overview
The Accounting major is one of the specializations within Vancouver Island University's Bachelor of Business Administration degree, completed over four years (120 credits) at the Nanaimo campus or online. Coursework covers financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, auditing, and accounting theory, building the technical and analytical skills used in professional accounting practice. The wider BBA curriculum combines core business courses in management, marketing, finance, and economics with the major's accounting-specific courses, emphasizing the role of business in today's global environment and developing skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication through hands-on, real-world team projects in every course. Admission Requirements: Admission follows Vancouver Island University's general undergraduate entry requirements for the Bachelor of Business Administration.
