This program leads to a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or International Bachelor of Arts (iBA) in Political Science, offered full-time or part-time at the Keele Campus, with entry in Fall, Winter or Summer for both first-year and upper-year students. Students analyze social and political trends through courses covering global politics, political economy and power, developing research, writing and analytical skills through discussion-based and critical-thinking-focused instruction. The program prepares graduates for careers in government, law, public policy and international organizations. The program suits students who want a broad political science education emphasizing analytical and communication skills applicable to policy, government and international affairs careers rather than a single specialized track. Elective options allow students to focus on areas such as comparative politics, international relations, public policy or political theory as their studies progress.
