Admission Requirements: Offered as BA or iBA (International Bachelor of Arts). Ontario Secondary School Diploma applicants need ENG4U or FRA4U plus five additional 4U/M courses, with a low-to-mid-70s academic average targeted and a final average of 70% required to maintain an offer; other provinces (e.g. British Columbia's English 12 or English 12 First Peoples plus four additional Grade 12 academic subjects) follow the same average thresholds. International equivalencies include 28 IB diploma points and a GCE A-Level average of C. College or university transfer applicants need an overall average of at least 3.0 on a 4-point scale. Unless exempt, applicants must meet York's general undergraduate English proficiency minimums, published on the university's language-requirements page: IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 88, PTE Academic 60, Duolingo 120, or CAEL 60; the programme page does not itself state a separate French-proficiency test requirement despite accepting FRA4U as an alternate Ontario prerequisite.
