This program leads to a Master of Leadership & Community Engagement (MLCE), a part-time professional master's degree completed over five terms through a mix of online and blended (partly online, partly in-class) courses. It prepares graduates for leadership roles in public-sector organizations, with an emphasis on leadership, policy, community engagement, program design and evaluation, and social justice, combining seminar-based coursework with practice-oriented assignments. The curriculum includes two community-based placements that connect coursework to practical experience in public and community organizations, giving students direct exposure to leadership challenges in the sector. It is aimed at students already working in, or moving toward, public-sector and nonprofit leadership roles who want an advanced, practice-oriented credential they can complete part-time alongside their careers, combining academic study with applied fieldwork in community settings.
