The Professional Certificate in Canadian Business for Internationally Educated Professionals is designed for applicants who already hold a degree and work experience from outside Canada in accounting, finance, management, marketing, or public administration. Students complete three bridging courses (9 credits) covering business communication, law, ethics, and leadership within the Canadian context, followed by up to five advanced specialized courses (15 credits) in their chosen field of interest. The certificate is offered by the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies on a full-time or part-time basis, with Fall, Winter, and Summer start terms, and is intended to help internationally educated professionals apply their existing credentials and international work experience within the Canadian business context, labour market, and workplace culture.
Requirements
Admission Requirements: Applicants must either be current participants in York's Bridging Program or already hold a university degree from an accredited non-Canadian institution and have resided in Canada for no more than three years. Bridging Program participants contact the program office directly, while new applicants apply through the Office of Admissions and separately contact the Internationally Educated Professionals program.
