BA/BS in Terveydenhoitaja (AMK)

The public health nurse programme trains students in health promotion and disease prevention at individual, group and societal levels. Students learn to take responsibility, develop their work, and address how digitalisation and sustainable development shape health care. Students practise in the simulation centre, learn to handle many situations in home care, counselling, school and outpatient services and hospital wards, and develop leadership, client encounters and teamwork. Studies are largely self-directed and take place mainly on the Helsinki campus. The programme totals 240 ECTS credits over four years.
