Computer-based systems that learn from data, handle difficult problems and make their own decisions are the focus of this master's. It grows out of computer science and links theoretical principles with up-to-date research in artificial intelligence.
After a solid computer science base, learners acquire detailed expertise in topics such as learning algorithms, analysing data, algorithmic techniques and modern AI models, backed by the mathematical and methodological background needed to understand and build powerful systems. Project modules oriented toward research form another pillar; students independently address demanding questions drawn from real situations and gain practical experience.
Ethical, legal and social dimensions of AI are covered too. The intention is that graduates produce scientifically grounded AI solutions, evaluate them critically and deploy them responsibly. Employers include software, IT and AI companies, car and robotics makers, consultancies, industrial and applied research, public bodies and universities.
