Computer Science is an English-taught Master of Science at Ruhr-Universität Bochum. It takes four semesters and can start in the winter or the summer semester.
Students may choose from both core computer science and IT security and decide how theoretical or application-oriented their studies become, trying out different specialisations. Some specialisations, such as computer security, offer considerably more elective options than others. The general questions behind the field include how robots are programmed, how a cloud works, how navigation finds the best route and what quantum computers are.
Admission is open (zulassungsfrei).
Further details on enrolment are available separately for German and international applicants, and the semester contribution is explained on a dedicated university page. Students can turn to the study advisory service of the department with questions about content and admission.
