Arts and Welfare is a two-year, 120 ECTS master's programme from the Department of Arts Education. It brings together a broad group of professionals who want to develop ways of using the arts to promote social wellbeing and health.
The aim is to increase the points of contact between the arts and society and to widen access and participation for different groups in arts projects and events. Society's growing expectation of open access to artistic creation and arts events calls for people with knowledge across both the arts and welfare.
Emphasis is placed on developing new approaches through interdisciplinary collaboration between institutions, associations and artists, whose work takes place in constantly changing circumstances.
The programme runs over four semesters and is designed for professionals from many different backgrounds who share an interest in the social role of the arts.
