Overview

This two-year Tallaght programme introduces biological sciences through microbiology, biochemistry and drug delivery. Learners spend roughly 400 hours in laboratories over the course, examining how cells work, the nature of disease and the basics of genetics. Prior Biology at school is helpful but not essential. The award is a Level 6 Higher Certificate, entered through the CAO. Graduates can move straight into industry jobs or continue into an add-on B.Sc. the following year. The practical experience gained is something employers tend to value.
